This stick electrode is an E7018 low-hydrogen rod, 1/8 inch diameter. It is designed for welding high-strength low-alloy steels and offers excellent arc stability and minimal spatter. The low hydrogen content reduces the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking in the weld metal, making it suitable for critical structural applications where weld integrity is paramount.
E7018 electrodes are used in heavy fabrication, bridge construction, and pressure vessel manufacturing. The weld metal provides good impact strength and ductility, maintaining properties under dynamic loads and varying temperatures.
