This TIG tungsten electrode is 2% lanthanated, 3/32 inch diameter, for use in Tungsten Inert Gas welding applications. Lanthanated tungsten offers good arc starting and stability, and a moderate burn-off rate compared to pure tungsten. This electrode maintains a sharpened tip longer, reducing the need for regrinding during extended use cycles. It performs well in both AC and DC welding processes.
Used for welding stainless steel, carbon steel, nickel alloys, and titanium in fabrication shops and industrial settings. The 2% lanthanum oxide content provides good performance across a range of current settings, maintaining consistent arc properties through multiple weld passes. This electrode resists tip contamination effectively.
